What wwill Joeshereinaftere refenredi-vto as: the lower longitudinal bar or rod 46 extends between the pivoted connections of the legs 20, 22 in the two end members l6, l8, being secured in position by the aforementioned pivot pins 24 which extend axially into the end portions of the bar 48, as is best shown in Figure 5. Similarly, each of a pair of upper longitudinal bars or rods 48, 50 connects together the upper end portions of the side pieces 30, 32 at one side of the frame l2, being secured in position by suitable nails, or the like,- 52, as is best shown in Figures 4 and 6.

It will be apparent from the foregoing that the construction of the frame i2 is such that when the bars 48, 50 are drawn together as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the frame is collapsed and adapted to rest on the lateral edges 28 of the legs 22. However, when the bars 48, 50 are sep- 56 arated as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the entire 3 frame is erected and adapted to rest on the lower ends 26 of the legs.

The construction of the bag or receptacle M will now be described, this consisting of suitable flexible material such as cloth, fabric, or the like, and consisting of a sheet 54 of a substantially U-shaped cross sectional configuration provided at its ends with suitable panels 56 which are secured thereto by stitching or the like,'as indicated at 58 in Figure 1.

The device as defined in claim 2 wherein said side pieces and said struts are disposed in said bag.

Av sewing basket'comprising a collapsible frame consisting 'of a pair of spaced parallel end members each including a pair of crossed and pivotally connected together at one end and each rigidly secured at its remaining end to an intermediate portion of one of said side pieces, a lower longitudinal bar extending between the pivoted connections of the legs in the two end members, a' pair of upper longitudinal bars each securing together upper end portions of side pieces at one sideof said frame, and'a foldable bag suspended from said upper longitudinal bars.

' 5. The device as defined in claim 4 wherein said upper longitudinal bars are movable toward and away frcmeach'other, and said legs are respec-' tively collapsed and uprighted by said movements of the upper longitudinal bars. I

6; The device as defined in claim 4 wherein said side pieces, said struts and said upper longitudinal bars are disposed in said bag, together with keeper loops provided at the bottom of said bag, said keeper loops engaging said lower longitudinal bar.
