seams will be entirely open to permit the trousers to be easily engaged or removed from ones body.

As another object of the invention it is proposed to have the fastener elements so positioned that by lowering them to a position just below the hips the front or back portion-of the trousers may be lowered. f

Still further the invention provides for a Lastex or knitted material cuff to be applied to the bottom of the leg portions of the trousers and which are adapted to be opened and closed by the same slide fasteners which close the sections of the trouser proper.

Still further the invention proposes to So construct the trousers for use in connection with a non-separating or separating slide fastener, de-

pending upon the use to which the garment is to bel put. If a non-separating slide fastener is used a cloth strip is added to the bottom of the Lastex or knitted-cuff for the purpose of permitting the slide fastener to extend entirely through the La stex or knitted cuff to permit the trousers to be easily slipped over ones shoes.

As a. still further object of the invention it is proposed to provide independent fastening elements between the top edge of the trousers and a separate belt which is adapted to engage around ones body for the purpose of permitting one section to be lowered while the other section isA being supported upon the belt.-

For further comprehension of the invention, and of the objects and advantages thereof, reference will be had to the following description and accompanying drawing, and to the appended claim in which the various novel features vof the invention are more particularly set forth;

The removable trouser, according to this inven tion,. comprises material in the form of a pair of trousers I0 having a body portion IIIa withfront and rear sections IIlb, a crotch portion IIJc and leg portions 10d. The sides of the trousers I0 are opened from the top of the body portion II)a to the bottom of the leg portions Illd andare formed with slide fasteners II for releasably closing these open sides. A Lastex or knitted cuff I2 is formed on the lower end of the leg portions IIJd and has the side opening extending therethrough.

'I'he slide fastener II is of the non-separating type and passes through the cuil. I2 and terminates in a cloth binding I3 which is applied to the bottom portions of the cuii I2. AThe purpose of adding this binding I3 which is of cloth or other non-stretchable material is to permit the cuff portions I2 to be separated in the open condition of the side openings to permi.. these cuff portions to be easily slid over ones shoes.

A half belt I4 is removably secured at its ends Aby a button and button hole construction iif upon the top corners of one of the sections IIJb so that this section may be retained raised while the other section IIlbis lowered. The latter section I 0b is also provided with buttons I4a to receive the half belt I4 when removed from the other section Ilib, and then the belt in its new position, supports the connected section I0", while the other section II)b may be lowered.

' In Fig. l the half belt I4 is shown applied to the front section IIlb permitting the rear section II'Ib to be easily lowered. 'I'he half belt I4 may be applied to the rea-r section IIlb permitting the front section II)b to be lowered.

The operation of this form of the invention is as folowsz- The control slide of the slide fastener II is moved to its lowered position and ones feet are passed through the leg portions I 0d, the cui portions I2 and the binding material I3 and the front section I0b of the body portion Illa is drawn over the (front portion of ones body and the half beltA I4 is positioned around ones body to xedly hold the front section Ib in position. The slides of the fasteners Il are then raised to their topmost position to draw the rear section mi into position with relation to the front section ith and the half belt Il. When itis desired to drop the back of these sections it is merely necessary to move the slide fastener to e. position in which it is immedisteiy below the hips of ones -bodi permitting the section to move tothe low-A ered position shown in Fig. 1. In the form o'f the invention illustrated in Figs.

' 4 6, the construction is the same as that shown inl Fig. 1 except for the fact that abelt 20 is provided at one of its ends 28B' with a buckle 2l.

The other4 of its ends 2|)b is'provided with openings 22 which may be selectively engaged with the pin portion 2l of the buckle 2l for positioning this belt on the waist portion of one's body. The outside face of this belt 2B is provided with a number of snap fastener elements 23 which may be engaged with complementary snap fastener elements 24 mounted on the inside face of the top portion ci the front and rear sections ith of the trousers i@ to heid one of the sections in position upon cnes body while the other section is in its lowered position.

The operation of this form or the device is the same as that shovm in Fig. 1 excepting that when it is desired to lower either of the sections ib itis necessary to move the slide lfestener i! to a position immediately below the hips, and then disengaging the snep fastener 24 from the complementary snep fasteners '23 upon the belt 2t and iowering either of these sections 'to the position illust-rested by the dot and dash iines iti' in Fig. 4;.

An easily removable trouser comprising materiai in the form of e. pair of trousers having e. body portion with a iront and rear section, a crotch portion and leg portions, the sides of seid pair of trousers. being opened from the top of the body portion to the bottom of the leg porn tions, and fasteners for releasobly closing these open sides, a belt for partially engaging around ones body cooperative fastening elements upon the ends of said belt and the top .corners of said sections for connecting the ends of said belt with one of said sections, whereby one section is free to be lowered when said fasteners at the sides of 'said sections are opened, said belt having its ends releasably attached to the cornersv of said sections and transferable from one section to the other permitting the belt to be opened when it is desired to remove the garment from dit
