Preferably one or more additional weights are mounted on projections or are otherwise suitably supported toward the upper '15 end of the track which the figure traverse in its upward and downward motion. 1 The figure is so constructed as to pick up these additional weights or riders on its upward travel and the riders are ofsuch weight as to load the figure to make it heavier than the counter-weight. Consequently the figure, together with the rider, slides down to the lower end of the track where provision is made for depositing the rider. The
counter-weight which is heavier than the unloaded figure, then draws the latter to the top of the track again. If a plurality of additional weights or riders are provided and are arranged so as to be picked up singly and in sequence, the operation is automatically repeated until the last rider has been deposited and the figure again drawn to the top of its track by the counter-weight.

In the construction shown in Fig. 1 the frame isconstructed in the form of a trestle with two inclined tracks a, b. Bodies c, d are displaceable along the two tracks a, 1; respectively and one of these bodies, for example a, may have the form of a fi ure. The bodies are of different weights an are connected together by a cord e which passes vover a pulley f. In the example illustrated the body d is heavier than the figure c. Projections g are provided on the track 6 to .receive auxiliary weights h, 72, which can take the form of riders. The lighter body 0 is'provided with lugs z', k and every time the figure rises to the top one of these lugs serves to tip a rider from the projection on which it is carried, Fig. 3. The figure c is also provided with a bottom ledge Z on to which the-rider falls when tipped off the projection 'on which it is placed. The additional weight remains in this position during the downward motion until its upper edge passes through an aperture mcut in the track 1) near the bottom of the frame. At the commencement of the operation the heavier body aZ must be raised. The lighter body or figure 0 may. be held in its bottom position by hand or suitable means such as a hook n may be provided for thepurpose. As soon as it is released the operation occurs automatically as follows:

In the embodiment shown in Fi frame has the form of a vertically isposed column. In this construction the projections 9 preferably are bent so as to form hooks, in order to facilitate the positioning of-the riders.
I claim:
1.. A toy comprising a pair of tracks in- 5 the clined toward each other; a body on each track adapted to slide thereon; a flexible member connecting said bodies; a plurality of projections on one of the tracks near the top thereof, each ada ted to receive a weight; and means on t e body sliding on the track having the projections which is adapted on upward movement of the'body to tip the weight from its projection so that it will fall into the body and be carried down thereby.
2. A toy comprising a pair of tracks, one thereof having a plurality of spaced rojections near the topthereof adapte to receive a weight on each projection and an aperture'at the bottom thereof; a pair of bodies adapted to slide on the tracks, one of which is a carrier body for the weights which slides on the track having the projections and the other is a counterwelght body which slides on the other track; a flexible' member connecting said bodies; and means on the carrier body adapted to 'directly tip the weights from the projections to. be carried down the track in the body and dropped through the aperture at the bottom.
