IMPROVEMENT IN SHOES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 179,753, dated July 11,1876; application filed May 22, 1876.
To all whom it may concern: I
Be it known that I, JAKoB ZWIOKER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Shoes, of which the following is a specification: I
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of my improved shoe, and Figs. 2 and 3 are, respectively, top views of the vamp and quarter.

My invention relates to such improvements in boots and shoes that they can be made in a neat and elegant manner without seams;
and the invention consists of a shoe 'or gaiter made of a vamp of one continuous piece, with pine piece, provided with a front extension or In the drawing, A represents the vamp, A the quarters, and B the foxing, which form together the upper for my improved shoes and gaiters. What I claim is- A button shoe or gaiter, constructed with vamp, quarters, and stays in one piece, and
with a one/piece foxing, provided with button-flap B, as shown and described.
