i This inventi' n relates to waste baskets for Ari object rime. invention is the provision of wire holders adapted to be secured to. 'a p fixed psup ort hich will receive and clamp a piece 0 Another objec of the invention is the pro-.
vision of a'waste basket formed'of a piece of "paper rolled to o no shape andsiipported in expanded relatio by a wire holder which clamps .or pinches the lowerend' of the cone to revent the escape of liquid, the paper has et or containerbeing burned ordestroyd with the waste-collecte This invention will be best understood therein. 7
from a consideration of the following detailed description in connection with the aceompanyingdrawings; nevertheless it is to be understood that the'invention is not confined tothe disclosure being'susceptible of such changes and modifications as shall define no material departurefrom the salient features of the invention'as expressed in the appended claim. v, In thedrawings:.-'- v Figure 1 is a view in pe holder for a paper waste basket,-'

7 Referring more particularly tothe draw-g ings 10 designates generally a bracket hav-i. ing an attaching armll which is adapted to be secured in an approved manner to a fixed support, as the side wall 12 of-a closet 13. The securing means in this instance is illustrated by a pair of screw eyes 14 which receive the vertically disposed arm. 11.1 Anarm' .15 extends horizontally from the upper, end of the arm 11' and is bent downwardlyat 16.
A holder 17, for a cone-shaped-basket 18 is formed of a single piece of resilient wire.
pape rolled into c )ne-shaped=receptacle servin'g' sacentainer for waste.
rspective of. akitche' en showing y invention m operative posi .g tion with a'fixed support, I
' w Figure 2 is a view in perspective of a wire adapted to be disposed termini in ahon zontal plane. A pair of'arms Q0 and 21 extend downwardl .from theggpen portion 22 of'the loop an are 'inclin inwardly toend of the cone as shown at '30. 1
In the modified form shownfin Figlathe' arms 2OIL and 21 of the wire framef31 are provided with complementary curved sections 32 and33 to form aneye whlch'isadapted'tq receivea screw. (not shown) for securing the] frameor holder, to-a fixed SlpROl't.
A' piece ofpaper is lrolle nto I a cated by the numeral on thecone, said cone is flattened and forced between the clamping arms 25 and 26. 'ff c When. the holder and, paper basket are em ployed in'the kitchen, a news apermay be rolled into acone and'thewire' rame isinad'e v Thenews -i I aper cone. when filled may be removed and I sufliciently large ,for'the purpose;
urned with the contents.
Where the frame .or holder used, in a v dentists or doctors ofiice smaller frames and" I, cones are employed and the cones are formed of small sheets of white paper. orany iother suitable material. l o v v In Fig. 4, a loop40 which receives the conically shaped container is formedof a single iece oi wire with the end weldedv at 4;1 and om which depends anarm 42 forming an extension of. the wire formin the loop.
' A pair of eyes 43 formed i terme'dia te the 'ends of the arm 42 receive a vertically dis'- posed lug 14. This lug is formed integrally with a screw 45 with the body of theA screw located at substantially right angles to the coneshaped container and inserted; apex down.- wardly, into the loop.19. At a' point indi- The wire is bent intermediate its ends to form a substantially circular loop 19 whichis. I The-arm 42 has an angular extension 46 roviding a jaw which cooperates with the jaw 47 to form a clamp on the lower end of the conically shaped container. The ends of the jaws are flared as shown at 48, to facilitate the insertion of the lower end of the container. The jaw 47 extends upwardly, as shown at 49, and in parallel relation with the arm 42 and secured to the arm at a point adjacent the lower eye 43.
In this construction the cone is inserted within the loop 40 until that portion of the cone which conforms to the diameter of the loop is in contact with said loop. The lower end of the cone is then forced between thefree ends 48 and clamped between the jaws 46 and 47.
I claim A device of the character described comprising a circular loop, an inverted conesbaped receptacle received by' the loop and engaging said loop at points intermediate the opposite ends of the cone, a supporting member depending from the loop at apoint in the circumference and lying in close association with the outer wall of the cone, :1 pair of clamping arms projecting from the supporting member and adapted to clamp the lower end of the cone between the arms, and means connected with the supporting member for securing said supporting member to a fixed support.
Signed at Springfield in the county of" Greene and State of Missouri this 13th day of October A. D., 1927.
