This invention relates to plier cases and more particularly to a plier case for use in securing and housing plierswhile disposed in a pocket of a garment, or support from a portion of a garment.-

An important object of the invention is the provision in a device of this character of a structure such that the pliers are securely held against possible loss without regard to the position in which the case might be placed, and in which means are provided for ejecting the pliers sufficiently to permit grasping thereof when they are desired for use.

A still further object of the invention is to produce an apparatus vof this character in whichlthe pliers are located in position in the case bythe insertion thereof.

A further object of the invention is to produce apparatus of this character which may 29 be readily and cheaply manufactured,which will be durable and efficient in surface, and a general improvement in the art.

These and other objects I attain by the construction shown in the accompanying draw- 25 ings wherein for the purpose of illustration I have shown apreferred embodiment of my invention and wherein Figure 1 is a front elevation of a plier case constructed in accordance with my invention;

Referring now more particularly to the drawings, the numeral 10 indicates a tube rectan ular in cross section, and of such dimension that it will readily slidably receive the pliers P with which it is adaptedto coact. This tube has the upper portion of its front wall cut away, as indicated at 11, and its upper end open.

' Between the lower bearing 16 and an outwardly extending stop 19 formed by a struck out portion of the arm 17 a flat sinuous spring 20 extends and this spring constantly tends to raise the carriage 18, and thus cause the handle portions H of the pliers P to project above the upper end of the tube so that they may be readily grasped by the handle. To prevent such extensionuntil it is desired, I mount within the casing a clamping spring 21, at present shown as a leaf secured at 22, to the second side wall and having its terminal portion adapted to engage in the restriction usually produced at the junction of the head and handle portions ofthe pliers.
