This invention relates to improvements in sleeping bags. i y

The principal object of this invention is to provide means whereby the sleeping bag is protected during transportation.

Another object is to provide means where? by dust, dirt and water areexcluded from. the ends of the bag when the same is in rolled condition. I g

A further object is to provide means whereby the same protection used for the bag serves as a protection for the occu'pants clothes while lying within the A still further objectisto produce a device which is economical to manufacture and one which does not add materially to the cost of the bag.

At the present time sleeping bags and the like outdoor equipment is merely rolled from end-to end, straps or rope placedthereabout and then the same is either transported in this condition or further protected by in sorting in a dunn'age bag; Applicant has provided means integral with the bag whereby the same is amply protected during transit and further through this arrangement.

To the open end of the bag 51 secure a strip of fabric 6 which is of su'liicient length to make one single wrapping about the bag 5 when the same is in rolled condition. To this fabric 6 I attach side flaps as shown at 7 and 8 each one of which is folded upon itself and stitched at 9 and 11 respectively, thus forming tubes through which the cords l2 and 13 are laced.

The result of this construction is that f when the bag 5 is rolled as illustrated'in' of the bag toward the top with the result that the strip of fabric 6 will completely surround the bag and protect the same. By
