.PLASTIC REENFORCED BUILDING OONSTRUCTION.
Application filed July 23, 1927. Serial No. 207,861.
The invention relates to plastic reenforced building construction and particularly walls, and has for its object to provide a wall comprising innerand outer members formed from superimposed plastic blocks, plates 1nterposed between the courses of the plastic blocks and, having upwardly and down -c wardly extending flanges and tie rods connecting the plates carried bythe inner and outer wall sections, thereby positively tying the wall sections together and allowing plastic material to be poured bet-ween thewall sections.
A further object is to provide the plates with T-shaped recesses for the IGCGPUOII Of vertically disposed T bars engaging the inner sides of the wall sections.
A further. object is to provide the plates with inwardly extending members having.
downwardly extending flanges, which flanges frictionally engage the inner sides of the wall sections and grip the same incident to spring action of the plates.
With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawing, described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the inventlonniay be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 a plurality of superimposed plastic blocks 3, which maybe provided with channelsd if desired, however this is not essential.
The inner and outer walls 1 and 2 are tied together by means of plates 5,6 and 7, and which plates are horizontally disposed and provided with upwardly. and downwardly extending flanges 8 which engage the outer sides of the blocks 3 and engage the outer faces of said blocks. Plates 5, 6 and 7 are horizontally disposed and extend inwardly into the chamber-9 between the wall sections and are provided with flanges 10 which extend downwardly and have their inner edges 11 in close binding engagement with the inner sides of the blocks. The close binding engagement is obtained by providing the plates with a spring action as clearly shown in Figure 5, whereby when the plates are placed in position the inner ends are flexed upwardly to allow the blocks to be received between the flanges 8 and the ends 11 of the flanges l0, and upon release of the outer ends of the plates, there will be a gripping action. The plates 5, 6 and 7 are provided with T-shaped recesses 12 for the reception of vertical T bars 13, which engage the inner sides of the wall sections, therefore it will be seen that the wall sections are positively tied to the T bars. The plates 5, 6 and 7 are provided with a plurality of apertures 14 which receive the hooked ends of tie rods 15, and which tie rods rigidly and positively anchor the wall sections together and maintain said wall sections in proper spaced relation at all times. Disposed on the upper side of the wall is a roof bed 16, which is anchored to the wall by means of a headed bolt l7,'the head 18 of which is imbedded in the plastic material 19, poured between the wall sections, therefore it will be seen that the roof bed is positively anchored and when the plastic material 19 is in place, a solid rigid wall is formed. Where it is desired to attach studding 20 to the inner side of the inner wall sect-ion 1 for applying lathing the angle brackets 21 are used, said brackets being of the form shown in Figures 2 and 3 and'have upwardly and downwardly extending flanges 22.
From the above it will be seen that a wall construction is provided, which is simple, will allowawall to be easily and quickly formed, and one wherein concrete blocks are used for forming the outer and inner walls, and which outer and inner walls are positively tied together by means of the plates and tie rods, thereby allowing the forming of a solid wall by the pouring of a plastic between the wall sections.
' The invention having been set forth what is claimed as new and useful is 1 A wall construction comprising inner and outer wall sectionshaving a chamber therebetween, plates extending between courses of blocks of the wall sections, said plates having angularly disposed flanges en-- gaging the outer faces'of the blocks, said lates extendin inwardlvinto'the chamben P e downwardly extending flanges carried by the plates within the chamber and engaging the inner sides of the blocks at an angle there to, tie rods connecting the plates of the inner and outer wall sections, said plates having recesses therein for the reception of vertically disposed members engaging the inner sides of the wall sections. 1

A wall construction comprising inner and outer wall sections in spaced relation and formed from courses of superimposed blocks, plates, between said courses of blocks, said plates having upwardly and downwardly extendingflangcs engaging the outer faces of blocks or" adjacent courses, T bars extending vertically in engagement with the inner sides of the wall sections and disposed in T-shaped recesses in the plates, the plates extending inwardly and provided with downwardly eX-- tending flanges, said flanges having their inner" ends inengagement with the inner sides of the wall sections, and tie rods connecting said plates.
