Tothat end the'invention chiefly contemplates a novel and useful'bust supporting form, as distinguished. from the bandagelike brassiere'ordinarily used for bust supportingpurposes, the invention particularly having in view a simple device of that kind which is not only susceptible of being made in a ver attractive way so as to possess spe-' cial uti ity with evening clothes, as an accessory to the dress, but also held to the body in a manner so as to give natural form and appearance to the bust without danger of displacement in any direct-ion, thus entirely dispensing with the necessity of the undesirable and troublesome shoulder stra s.

A further object of the inven-tlon is to provide a device that may be readily fitted in place byfastening the same at the front, and which when in use will possess sufficient adaptability and resiliency to hold itself inproper place and to yield to natural body movements. Thatis to say, it is proposed to provide a construction in which the supportin member includes an elastic back section adapted to be adjusted to suit the convenience of the wearer, anda separable flat and unobstructive front connection, thereby avoiding at the front theuse of the ribbon tie orthe like wh1 h requires a projecting or bunchy bow-lmot as a fastening.

:In carrying the present invention into effect it isproposed to provide a pair of breast forms or members designated generally-as 1 and each including a semi-rigid frame 2, preferably of wire or the like encased with a suitable covering, and having secured thereto the fabric coyer-piece 3 which may be provided with any suitable and desirable ornamentation, and form a flexible form and breast support which is maintained in shape by the ring or frame 2. These cover-pieces loosely -fill the frame rings and necessarily are of a cupped formation t0 fit the form and also necessarily may be made in any ornamental or attractive manner and with any kind of fabric to have.

With the device in the form shown 1n Figs. 1 and 2 it will be apparent that after the main belt B has been set or adjusted to the properlength, the matter of putting on and taking off the device merely amounts to fastening and unfastening the front members A by disengaging the hook and eye 1;. Also by reason of the fact that the front fastening sections A and the belt B connect with the rings 2 in such a way that the ring is prevented from turning. or rotating, a

firm and positive support to the bust is afforded without discomfort and annoyance due to the shifting or twisting of the members 1 when in use. Furthermore, by reason of the novel arrangement of parts which includes the elastic and, adjustable belt B and the front fastening A, the entire device is fitted to the body with suflicient 'snugness so that shoulder straps are unnecessary, thereby permitting of the use of the brassiere with evening gowns or dresses where shoulder straps are undesirable.

Without/further description it is thought that the features and advantages of the invention will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and it will of course be understood that changes in the form, proportion and minor details of construction 85 may be resorted to, without departing from the, spirit of the invention. and scope'of appended claims. A garment of the'class described comprising in combination, supporting members including semi-rigid rings and cupped fabric cover-pieces loosely'filling the frames and secured thereto, a back encircling belt member including spaced members connected to said rings respectively at points on each side of the horizontal midway portion thereof, and separable fastening means for connecting the inside portions of the sup porting members, said fastening means each comprising strip members of substantially ,V-shaped formation having a separable fastener at their apices and having the ends opposite their apices connected with the semi-rigid rings of the supporting members.
