This clamping ring may be connected at one side to the holder by means of a screw or similar construction 15 and has a slidable, adjustable connection 16 providedby slotting its ends as at 17 to 'receive a nut and bolt connection 18; This will permit loosening for application and removal of the units and also tightening so as to clamp and securely hold them in proper position. This clamping ring may be 'made' of any suitable material and instead of being adjustable as above described, may be a steel or other metallic snap ring,
Signs constructed to embody this inven tion are Very inexpensive and endurable and readily arranged and the display in them easily and quickly changed.
What I claim is z 1. In combination in a device of the character described, a sign-holding member adapted to extend around and be supported by a lamp or lantern, said member having means for supporting a plurality of separate indicia-carrying elements and a flexibleand adjustable member extending along said sign-holding member for holding said elements in position in said sign-holding member.
2. In combination in a device otthe character described, a sign-holding member adapted to be applied to and supported by a lamp or lantern, said member having an annular support to receive individual indicia display. elements and a flexible ring member connected to said sign-holding member and adjustable so as to bear against said elements to hold them in position in said sign-holding nular support provided with a groove to receive individual indicia display elements, and a flexible ring member connected to said sign-holding member and adjustable so as to bear against said elements and hold them in position and permit their ready removal from said sigimholding member.

An attachment and sign display device for lamps comprising an annular band member adapted to be placed about said lamps having a body portion p'rovidedwitha plurality of openings to permit the display of information, therethrough, a top annular member extending inwardly from said body portion and a flange extending upwardly from the inner edge of said annular memher, said band having a bottom portion provided with aflange, extending upwardly from the inner edge thereofto form a recess to receive the sign display units, a holding member. connected to said band and positioned adjacent said top member and'provided with adjusting means whereby it may be moved to permit the insertion and removal of the sign display unitsp 6. An attachment and sign display device tor lamps comprising an annular band member provided With a bottom annular member and a top annular member, said annular members being connected by means of a plurality of partitions formed of the material of the annular band member, said partitions being spaced apart to leave openings to permit the display of information sign display units therethrough, said bottom annular member being provided With a recess, a plurality of annular member and positioned in said recess and having their upper ends engaging said top annular member and means for holding said display units in position in said annular band member Withtheir upper ends in contact'with the top annular member, said holding means comprising a flexible and adjustable band adapted to engage the display units near their top edges. 7

An attachment and sign display device v or lamps comprising a one-piece metallic member in the form of an annular band cut out and shaped so as to provide a bottom annular member formed with a recess and a top annular member having an inwardly extending horizontal flange portion'and spaced partitions connecting said top and bottom i annular members, and a holding member connected to said annular band on the inside and adjacent the top annular part thereof, and adapted to cooperate ithsaid horizontal flange to tion therein.
