To all ils/1.0m it may concern Be it known that l, CHARLES R. Brnosnr,

a citizen of the United States, residing at Hinsdale, in the county of Dupage and State of lllinois, have invented certain new and useful lmprovements in Plaster Board (case of which the following is a de- 'scription My invention belongs to that general class of devices known as plaster' board or the like, and relates particularly to an improved board which will be simple, substantial, durable, satisfactory and ellicient, and which may be economically and accurately manufactured. The inventionv relates particularly to a type of board in which the enclosed plaster, plaster Paris or equivalent plastic material is substantially enclosed on one or on both opposite edges, and in which the edges are perfectly formed 'to conform to a definite specification as to size or angle. `Many other objects and advantages of the construction herein shown and described will be obvious to those skilled in the art from the disclosures herein given.

To this end my invention consists in the novel construction, arrangement and combination of parts herein shown and described, and more particularly pointed out in the claims. l

Referring to the drawings, l represents' a body of suit-able material,.as for example, plaster, plaster Paris or any equivalent suitable for the purpose, preferably such as may be handled in a plastic state and thereafter allowed to set or harden. As shown, the body l. is enclosed between the covering sheets 2 and 8 on the faces and the edges en closed by the covering sheet portions l. ln

v this type of board, the covering sheet 2 is wrapped or folded over the body, enclosing the faces and edges, the same, however, being preferably first scored as at 6 before completely folding so as to produce a nished edge. The covering sheet may be of any suitable material, and it may be mentioned that l have found paper of the desired weight or thickness very satisfactory for the purpose. f

The sheet is preferably of such width that the two edges will extend substantially close together, as indicated at 5, or they may overlap as shown in Figure 5. lf desired, a strip Z may be arranged over the meeting edges, substantially securing the two edges to- 7o gether. Plhe strip 'l' may be of suitable material and secured in place in any desired manner. @rdinarily where the body is made up of any of the materials mentioned, enough of the material will be pressed through between the edges and serve as a seal securing the strip .7 in place. rlhe edges may be spaced a desired distance to permit the desired amount of material to so escape, 'the amount of material required depending so upon the width of the strip. ln Figure 3, l have shown how the strip 8 may be pressed down flush with vthe main portion of the face of the board the same de ressin the meeting edges 9 and'lO, substantially as shown *es or in any equivalent manner.

The construction shown in Figure l-,is substantially similar, except that a stripis arranged on the body at the interior of the covering sheet. lt will be noted that with all of these con s tructions, the edge is substantially, conn-= pletely enclosed at both, sides and edges.

The resulting product is produced with. a il@ straight, smooth edge and at a 'perfect angle, the board being uniform in width throughout its length. The completed product has many advantages, and it has increased strength and durability, and an improved appearance. lin case of handling, the edges are protected and there is no siftiig outor powdering of the body at the e f' a-ving thus described my invention, it is obvious'that various immaterial modifications may be made in the same Without departin from the spirit of my invention; hence do not wish to be understood as limiting myself to the exact form, construction, arrangement and combination of .parts here in shown and described, or uses mentioned.

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

l. A plaster board comprising a body, a cover sheet extending over one face of the body and folded over the edges onto the o posite side of the body with the edges of t e sheet adjacent each other, and a sealing strip arranged over said body at the junctures of said edges on the exterior of the cover sheet.

A plaster board comprising a body, a cover sheet extending over one face of the body and folded over the edges onto the opposite side of the body with the edges adjacent each other, and a sealing strip arranged over and secured to said sheet at the junctures of said edges on the exterior of the cover sheet and depressed to substantially flush with the main portion of the face of the board.

'3. A plaster board comprising a body, a cover sheet extending over one face of the body and folded over the edges onto the opposite side of the body with the edges of the sheet adjacent each other, and a sealing strip arranged in overlapping relation with the adjacent edge portions of the sheet.

4. A plaster board comprising a body, a cover sheet extending over one face of the body and folded over the edges onto the opposite side of the body, with the edges of the sheet adjacent to but separated from -each other, and a sealing strip arranged over said body in overlapping relation with the adjacent edge portion of the sheet.
