IMPROVEMENT IN EAR-COVERS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 139,831 dated June 10, 1873; application filed March 22, 187 3.

provement in Ear-(lovers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings making a part of this specification and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.

Figure l of the drawings is a representation of a side view of my ear-cover. Fig. 2 is Fig.3is a perspective "iew of the same.

This invention has relation to means for keeping the ears warm in cold weather; and it consists in the construction and novel arran gement of the spring-wire head clamp, having looped ends, covered with cloth or fur, held full to make a kind of pouch for each ear. The object of this invention is to provide an ear-covering which will keep the cold air from the ear without compressing the same.

In the accompanying drawings, the letterc designates a spring or wire, bent to pass around the head, and looped at each end, as shown at b. The bend of the wire or spring should be covered with cloth. Each loop b port a chin-cover, is not new; therefore I do i not claim such invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is----- The spring-clam p ear-protector, constructed as described consisting of the bent spring a, of suitable shape. to be passed over the head, and having its looped ends b covered with cloth or fur, held full to form bags or pouches for the ears, as shown and described.
