Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 131,054, dated September 3, 1872.'
Specification describing certain Improvements in a Table-Leaf Support, invented by GEORGE E. EBERHART, of Cedar Falls, Black Hawk county, State of Iowa.
My invention is the combination'of the several parts in such a manner as to form a selflocking table-leaf support. l
Figure 1 is a side view of the support em! bodying my invention as it is after being put together to apply to the table.
A shows the long arm of the support passing under the table and fastened to the center of the table by a box-hinge, E, and at the other end to the double crooked knee B by a hinge. C is a stirrup or lock fastened by a hinge to the leaf of the table, and by a slot passing over a crooked knee. B is a crooked knee attached to arm A by a hinge, and to the table-leaf by box-hinge D. yThe stirrup or look C, when the leaf is raised, by its own Weight drops below the knee in B, and becomes fastened.
