Bev it known that I, GEORGE H. HENDER- soN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county Of Liberty and State of TeXas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Tables, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in a folding table. The obj ect of the invention is to provide a table Of the character described, so constructed that its parts may be readily folded together and the table collapsed so as to occupy small space. l

With the above and other objects in vieuT the invention has particular relation to certain novel features of construction, arrangement of parts and use, an example of which is given in this speciiication and illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein Figure l is a plan view of the table with the leaves removed.

The table is provided with 'two semi-Circular leaves 7, 7 whose straight edges meet along the central line of the bridge when the table is in use and which are' hinged to the respective edges of the wide part of the bridge.. When the table is in use, the leaves are extended to aV horizontalk position and the arms 5, 5, swung around at right angles of the bridge, the free ends of said arms when in this position being supported bv the l flush with the Outer edge of thewideppart of the bridge,.thu`s permitting the respective leaves to fall down into a vertical position as shown in Fig. 2 and the'legs 6, 6 are then folded up againsty the undersides of the corresponding arms 5, 5, vsaid legs being held in said position by means of `catches 8 and the table will thus bein a compact position so as to take small space when not in use.

What l claim is: n A table of the character described includ-y ing an Oblongbridge, offsetV at its center on each side forming shoulders, arms hinged to the outerangles of the respective shoulders, supporting legs fixed to the respective ends of Vthe-bridge and to the free ends of said arms, two leaves whose adjacent edges meet y'along the central line ofthe bridge, said leaves being hinged to the corresponding edges of they bridge and being supportedby the arms when said arms are swung into angular positionrelative to the bridge.
