To use mysaid device, the barrel is laid np'on itsA side; the centers b b are placed on the opposite-heads of the barrel, so that they will rest as near the center of the head as possible. The `handles A and E are then strainedtogether, and' as they close will press the centers b and b into the heads of the barrel, and thel pawl on the handle E,-,resting inone of the teeth of the ratchet I K, will hold the arms or levers in that position; The operator now grasps the handlesv firmly, and by .pulling or pushingV can4 roll to any desired position.
