The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM A. BURY, of' Grosse Isle, in the county of Wayne, in the. State of' Michigan, have invented new and useful Improvements in Reclining-Back Chairs; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact desmiption thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, (of which Figure 1 is a side view closed, Figure 2 is a square-notched vatch, and Figure 3 is a side Aview reclining,) and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my invention consist-s in constructing a chair with reclining back from A to C, hung to the chair at B; also a lcg-rest from D to E, hung t-o the chair at D and connecting the ,back and leg-rest by means of rods or stn'ps from C to G, also hung at C and E, (on which is fixed a foot-board, H,) which as the back reclines keep a horizontal (or nearly so) poscribed.
