Description

The present invention relates to a display module; specifically, the present invention relates to a display module with waterproof adhesive tape.

Display modules are ubiquitous in human life, whether it is work, travel, or daily leisure, the traces of display modules are indispensable. In order to cope with different usage environments, the development of display module technology has also designed different degrees of waterproof effects, so that people can find corresponding designs for different usage needs.

Theoretically, the higher the degree of water resistance of the display module, the thicker the outer layer needs to be covered. To reduce the thickness of the outer layer, traditionally, waterproof glue can be added to the gap between the outer frame and the display panel. However, the width of the gap between the outer frame and the display panel may vary due to the degree of warping of the outer frame during the manufacturing process, making it difficult to match the volume of the waterproof adhesive, resulting in gaps. Moreover, when the outer frame or the display panel is stressed, the waterproof glue may be peeled off to reduce the waterproof effect, or the liquid crystal of the display panel may be pressed and damaged. In addition, the waterproof adhesive directly contacts the frame and display panel, which may cause sticking and difficult to remove, thus limiting the possibility of rework.

An object of the present invention is to provide a display module, which can improve the waterproof performance of the display module.

An object of the present invention is to provide a display module that can be reworked in a simple manner.

An object of the present invention is to provide a display module that can reduce the possibility of stressing the display panel.

In one embodiment, the display module includes a frame body, a display panel and a first waterproof tape. The frame body has a side wall and a top wall, the side wall has an inner surface, and the top wall has an end edge and an outer surface, wherein the side wall is connected to a side of the top wall opposite to the end edge. The edge of the display panel faces the inner side of the side wall. In addition, the display panel has a top surface with an overlapping area, and a first gap is sandwiched between the frame and the overlapping area. The first waterproof adhesive tape has a first part and a second part. The first part extends outward from the edge of the top wall to the outer surface and is directly or indirectly pasted, and the second part is pasted on the overlapping area of the top face. With this arrangement, the first waterproof adhesive tape can buffer different degrees of warping, and reduce or avoid the possibility of peeling off when the frame body or the display panel is stressed. In addition, the first waterproof adhesive tape can also provide an easier way to be removed and re-attached.

That is, without conflicting with other structures, the configurations and structures of the embodiments of the present invention can be applied to different edges of different display devices.

300。 Continuing above, referring to the sectional perspective view of the edge of the display module 10 taken along the section line AA' of FIG. 1 is FIG. The frame body 200 outside the display panel 100 and the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 attached to the edge of the display module 10 .

顯示模組10於顯示面板100下容置各種部件H(例如背光模組中之光源、導光板、反射片、光學膜片等)。 The display module 10 accommodates various components H (such as light sources in the backlight module, light guide plates, reflectors, optical films, etc.) under the display panel 100 . The supporting frame 130 carries the display panel 100 with the adhesive member 120 . Wherein, the component H is disposed under the support frame 130 and accommodated in the frame body 200 , that is, the frame body 200 surrounds the component H disposed under the display panel 100 . The aforementioned examples of the component H are only examples, and can be adjusted according to the needs, and the present invention is not limited thereto.

Specifically, the frame body 200 includes a side wall 230 and a top wall 220 having an end edge 225. As shown in FIG. . Wherein, the side wall 230 has an inner side 235 facing the inside of the display module 10 (for example, toward the center of the display panel 100 ), and the top wall 220 has an outer side 226 facing away from the inside of the display module 10 . The display panel 100 includes a top surface 110 with an overlapping region 115. As shown in FIG. 235 , the top surface 110 faces away from the inside of the display module 10 . Wherein, the projection range of the top wall 220 on the display panel 100 at least partially overlaps with the overlapping area 115 , and a first gap G (such as the first gap G shown in FIG. 3 ) is formed between the top wall 220 and the display panel 100 .

200。 3, the first waterproof tape 300 has a first part 310 and a second part 320, and the first part 310 and the second part 320 are directly or indirectly connected (for example, there may be an intermediate part that connects the first part 310 and the second part respectively). part 320), and at least part of the first part 310 extends outward from the end edge 225 to at least the outer side 226 and is directly or indirectly bonded. In addition, the second portion 320 connected to the first portion 310 extends toward the display panel 100 , and is at least partially pasted on the overlapping region 115 after being folded back. Wherein, the cross-sections of the first part 310 and the second part 320 present a shape similar to "ㄈ", and they are pasted on the outer side 226 and the overlapping area 115 with different faces. Since the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 is pasted across the first gap G, And seal the opening of the first gap G to the outside, so the first waterproof tape 300 can avoid or reduce the possibility of water entering the display module 10 from the first gap G. In addition, the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 can change the length extending to the outer surface 226 according to the width of the first gap G, so that the length across the first gap G can be increased or decreased accordingly, so it can be applied to frames with different degrees of warpage 200.

100。 To continue the description, the second part 320 of the first waterproof tape 300 extends toward the inner side 235 of the side wall 230 and sticks to the overlapping area 115 , that is, its end is facing away from the visible area of the display panel. And the first waterproof tape 300 can have elasticity (for example, in a preferred embodiment, the elongation rate of the first waterproof tape 300 can be greater than 300%), when the display panel 100 or the frame body 200 is stressed, the first waterproof tape The elasticity of 300 can be used as a buffer to avoid or reduce its peeling from the display panel 100 or the frame body 200; in addition, the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 can also absorb the change in displacement by the bending part of the bending section when it is stressed , without pressing on the display panel 100 .

235。 A display module 20 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 4 . In this example, The first waterproof adhesive tape 300 may include a middle portion 330 respectively connecting the first portion 310 and the second portion 320 and at least partially located between the first gap G (such as the first gap G shown in FIG. 3 ). Wherein the middle section 330 extends from the end edge 225 to the first part 310, then extends toward the inner side 235 of the side wall 230, and forms a first bend 331, which extends in a direction away from the inner side 235 after forming the first bend, and Linked to the second part 320 . The second part 320 extends in a direction away from the inner surface 235 and is pasted on the overlapping area 115 , that is, its end is facing the visible area of the display panel. In addition, the middle portion 330 and the second portion 320 form an accommodating space P, the accommodating space is at least partially located between the first gap G, and its opening faces away from the inner surface 235 .

100。 The main difference between the display module 20 of the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 and the display module 10 of the embodiment shown in FIG. An accommodating space P is formed between the gaps G, and the second part 320 is pasted on the overlapping area 115 with the end facing the visible area of the display panel 100 . Wherein, the first part 310 and the second part 320 are pasted on the outer surface 226 and the overlapping area 115 respectively on the same surface, and the accommodating space P in FIG. Under this configuration, the first waterproof tape 300 can use the first bend 331 for buffering. When the width of the first gap G increases, the first bend 331 can reduce the magnitude of the bend, avoiding or reducing the contact with the display panel 100 or The frame body 200 is peeled off; when the width of the first gap G decreases, the first bending 331 can increase the bending range, avoiding or reducing pressure on the display panel 100 .

100。 A display module 30 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 5 . Similar to the display module 20 shown in FIG. 4 above, the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 also includes a first part 310 pasted on the edge 225, a second part 320 pasted on the overlapping area 115 and a middle part 330 located in the first gap G (eg Figure 3 shows between the first gap G). The middle portion 330 is not directly connected to the second portion 320 after the first bend 331 is formed in the first gap G and extends away from the inner surface 235 of the side wall 230 . Alternatively, the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 forms a second bend 332 again, extends toward the inner side 235 and is connected to the second portion 320 . the second The end of the portion 320 extends toward the inner side 235 of the sidewall 230 and is pasted on the overlapping region 115 , and the first part 310 and the second part 320 are pasted on the outer side 226 and the overlapping region 115 with different surfaces respectively. Wherein, the middle portion 330 independently forms a long accommodating space P between the first gaps G, and the opening of the accommodating space P is away from the inner surface 235 of the side wall 230 . Similarly, under this configuration, the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 can utilize the first bend 331 and the second bend 332 for buffering. When the width of the first gap G increases, the first bend 331 and the second bend 332 The range of bending can be reduced, avoiding or reducing the separation from the display panel 100 or the frame body 200; when the width of the first gap G is reduced, the first bending 331 and the second bending 332 can increase the range of bending, avoiding or Stress to the display panel 100 is reduced.

Referring to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, some embodiments of the present invention, such as display module 20 and display module 30, may include waterproof colloid 700. In FIG. 6 and FIG. shape. The waterproof colloid 700 is at least partially distributed in the accommodating space P, and can extend to the top surface 110 . Under this configuration, the waterproof colloid 700 can further enhance the waterproofness of the first waterproof tape 300 . In addition, since most of the waterproof colloid 700 does not directly contact the display panel 100 and the frame body 200 , the waterproof colloid 700 can be removed by tearing off the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 , thereby improving the convenience of rework.

The second part 312 of the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 is attached to the first area 616 of the outer surface 614 of the double-sided adhesive tape 600 , and is pasted on the overlapping area 115 as a medium. Under this structure, the double-sided adhesive tape 600 can seal corners and two waterproof The first waterproof adhesive tape 300 and/or the second waterproof adhesive tape 500 at the overlapped portion of the adhesive tapes are pasted on the overlapping area 115 .

50。 Hereinafter, a display module 50 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described next with reference to FIG. 14 .

230。 As mentioned above, the display module 50 may have the same or similar structure as any one of the display modules 10 to 40 in the above-mentioned embodiments, the difference is that the top wall 220 forms the flow guiding channel 227 . Specifically, the flow guiding channel 227 has an inlet E, and the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 forms a gap M to communicate with the inlet E, wherein the flow guiding channel 227 can extend to the side wall 230 .

Referring to FIG. 15 , the guide channel 227 can be a groove formed by the thinner top wall 220 and the thinner side wall 230 and the complete top wall 220 and the side wall 230 . On the other hand, the first portion 310 of the first waterproof adhesive tape 300 partially forms a notch M, and the range of the notch M corresponds to the entrance E of the flow guiding channel 227 to communicate with each other. Under this configuration, the water flow blocked by the first waterproof tape 300 can pass through the gap M and enter the flow guiding channel 227 through the inlet E, and be discharged out of the display module 50 .

Referring to FIG. 16 , a display module 60 according to another embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, which may have the same or similar structure as the display module 50 , the difference being that the edge 225 of the top wall 220 forms a drainage slope 229 . Specifically, the discharge slope 229 is an inclined end edge 225 , and the end edges 225 on both sides of the notch M are inclined with positive and negative slopes respectively, so that the notch M becomes the low point of the end edge 225 . Under this configuration, the water flow blocked by the first waterproof tape 300 can flow to the gap M along the drainage slope 229 , and then enter the guide channel 227 through the entrance E, and then be discharged out of the display module 50 .
