Abstract

A device for connecting an external conductor such as a cable to a contact strip of an electrical apparatus such as a circuit breaker, the device comprising a metal block housed in removable manner in a terminal compartment provided in the rear part of the case of the circuit breaker, an elongated passage designed to receive a terminal strip of the circuit breaker passing through the block, and a pressure screw passing through the upper part of the block in order to perform clamping of the cable against the contact strip, the device being characterized in that the pressure screw (23) comprises at its end situated inside the block a securing pad (24), the pad (24) comprising claws (25 to 28) (or recesses) cooperating with recesses (29 to 32) (or respectively claws) of complementary shape, provided on the above-mentioned strip (6 to 9) to positively secure the cable between the pad (24) and contact strip (6 to 9) when the screw (23) is tightened.
