Abstract
A surface treatment method by electric discharge in a liquid, which is characterized in forming a metal-containing hydride powder as the discharge electrode, generating electric discharge between the electrode and the article being processed in a working liquid, thereby forming a surface layer, which comprises the metal, on the article being processed.
