Abstract
This innovation proposes a new manufacturing method for three-dimensional food in a very short time without mold. The key technology is to establish the figure or word character in a computer-aided design (CAD) software, e.g., CATIA, Pro/E, I-Deals, Solidwork, AutoCAD etc., or using the built-in figure and word in the window system. Then, the figure or word character is built into a three-dimensional model, and it is transformed into an *.stl format file. Finally, a RP machine is used to build the 3D food, and the final food product is finished. This technique promotes the food manufacturing method from 2D base to 3D base, which is an important and significant progress in the usage of the rapid prototyping technology.
