Abstract
The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of high intensity discharge lamp, which includes steps of forming a gap in-between the proximity of a metal foil and a discharge space when sealing a light transmitting part and side tubes extending along both sides of the light transmitting part; coating a ceramic thin film on the surface of the side tube corresponding to the space and the metal foil and performing a baking; lastly wrapping up the surface of a gap by using a metal ring or a metal coil such that one end of the metal ring or the metal coil is electrically connected to an external metal lead of another side tube.
