Abstract
This invention provides a process for production of powder of perovskite compound, which process is characterized by including: a first step for producing an agglomerate of perovskite compound represented by general formula: ABO3 (wherein, A represents at least one element of A group, and B represents at least one element of B group), and containing at least one selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and Pb as the element of A group, and at least one selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, and Sn as the element of B group; and a second step for producing powder of perovskite compound by heating and pulverizing the agglomerate of perovskite compound obtained from the first step in a solvent at temperature of 30 to 500 DEG C. According to this method, the agglomerate of perovskite compound is heated and pulverized in a solvent, without the need of using previous mechanical pulverizing procedures or impacting by pulverizing medium or air flow, therefore the pluverized powder will not contain impurities from the pulverizing medium, and as the result, the powder of perovskite compound can be made with high purity and narrow particle size distribution.
