Description

Mechanical spraying of liquid fuel in the practice of operation of ship steam boilers is already underway. However, the units built on this principle have significant drawbacks, which consist in the fact that their separate mechanisms are dispersed in the machine-boiler room. As a result, the area allotted for the operation of the unit is used inefficiently, the oil and gas pipelines are lengthened, and the attention of the staff is dispersed.

This invention is directed to the elimination of these disadvantages.

The proposed unit for heating, filtering and supplying fuel oil to the furnaces of ship steam boilers differs from the known devices of this kind in that the surface fuel oil heater and filter are placed one above the other in a common casing. The cavity of the housing is the steam space of the fuel oil heater and the steam jacket of the filter, and the upper wall of the housing serves as a slab for the installation of a steam piston pump designed to supply the prepared fuel oil to the nozzles of the fireboxes.

In the proposed unit, heating, filtration and supply of fuel oil are concentrated in one casing 1. The casing is a step-shaped rectangular shaped box. In the lower part 2 of the casing there is a filter, in its upper part 3 there is a surface fuel oil heater. The interior of the housing is the steam space of the fuel oil heater and the steam jacket of the filter. The upper wall 4 of the casing has a plate on which the piston pump 5 is installed.

All units of the unit are interconnected by pipelines and equipped with appropriate devices.

The fuel oil from the consumable tanks (not shown in the drawing) flows through the fitting 6 into the filter, where it is subjected to cleaning from impurities. Then through shtutuzer 7 and pipelines 8 fuel oil enters Porsch 79720-2 -

a neva pump 5 which directs it through conduit 9 and fitting 10 to a surface fuel oil heater to heat the waste steam to the appropriate temperature; thereafter, the prepared fuel oil by a piston pump is fed to the nozzles of the fireboxes (not shown in the drawing). The steam used to heat the fuel oil comes either from the transfer pump or from the injection pumps through pipeline 11 through fitting 12 to the upper part 3 of the casing, where it (steam) releases some of its heat to the fuel oil found in the heating oil heater; then steam enters the lower part 2 of the casing, where the filter is located, after which it is discharged through pipes / 5 from the unit.

Subject invention

A unit for heating, filtering and supplying fuel oil to the furnaces of ship steam boilers, characterized in that in order to shorten the steam and oil pipes and reduce the occupied area, the surface fuel oil heater and filter are placed one above the other in a common housing, the cavity of which is the steam space of the fuel oil heater and steam jacket of the filter, and the upper wall with a slab for installing a steam piston pump for supplying the prepared fuel oil to the nozzles of the furnaces.
