Description

2.This invention relates to devices for applying current to a welding wire. A device for contacting the supply of current to a welding wire is known, comprising a housing with a spring mounted on it and a current lead made in the form of two coaxial rollers equipped with levers connected by a cable with a spring. To increase the service life of the rollers in the proposed device, the rollers are connected to the housing by a threaded connection with a pitch equal to two diameters of the welding wire. FIG. 1 shows the scheme of the proposed device; in fig. 2 is a view along arrow A in FIG. one; in fig. 3 is a section along BB in FIG. 2; in fig. 4 is a view along arrow B in FIG. 2 (thin dashed lines show helixes lying on the helical surface (connector surface), depicting the trajectory of points located at different distances from the axis of the rollers; the thickness of the screw line represents the trace of the helical surface of the outer cylindrical surface of the rollers) ; in fig. 5 is a view along arrow G in FIG. four; pas figs. 6 is a section along d-d in FIG. 4. The device consists of a housing 1 through which the electrode wire 2 passes. At the exit of the electrode wire from the housing, a threaded hole is made in the latter for current-carrying rollers 3, the axes of the rollers and the electrode wire mutually perpendicular and intersect. The current lead w, and the rollers are installed symmetrically with respect to the electrode wire and clasp the last one along the perimeter along the entire length of the contact area. The current-carrying rollers separate the two-thread screw surface formed as a result of the rollers being fed as they wear along a screw with an axial pitch equal to two electrode wire diameters. With such a pitch, a thread is made on the outer cylindrical surface of the rollers and in the opening of the housing 1. To the current-carrying rollers 3 by means of bolts 4, current leads 5 are attached, the continuation of which is made flexible. A cable 6 is passed through the holes in the current leads, the other rim of which is mounted on the ears of sleeve 7 and the stop 8 bends around in the gap, fastened to the housing 1. The tension of cables 6 is created by the spring 9 supported from one side to the washer 10, on the other on the sleeve 7 with the ears. The washer 10, the spring 9 and the sleeve 7 are mounted on the cylindrical part of the housing 1. Inside the housing there is a wear-resistant guide sleeve 11, which serves to apply the electrode wire 2.
