Abstract

Seeds are placed on a carrier 42, e.g. a travelling belt, permeable to air and water and an airstream is passed therethrough whereby decomposition of the seed and fungus growth is prevented and heat, undue moisture, carbon dioxide and ethylene generated during growth are removed.
