Abstract

The chassis section (12) has a forged or cast part with machine-formed anchoring points (31, 34, 42, 43), and is connected to the front end of the main chassis (10) of a heavy vehicle. The anchoring points are for e.g. tow hook, steering system, gear selector, cab support, tipper device, engine cooler, or a combination of these. A lorry may have two auxiliary chassis sections at the front end. These are located at a relative distance and are for fastening of the front bumper arrangement.
