Abstract
The concn. of urea (or a similar substance) is measured in a composite soln. by a catalytic reaction with urease in a reactor column (10). The differential conductivity between reacted and unreacted soln. is measured to provide an indication of the urea concn. in the soln.. Carbon dioxide is added to the soln. which contains hydrogen carbonate ions, upstream of the column. An appts. for carrying out the process is also claimed.
