Abstract

The invention relates to a CAD/CAM-matched fixture system for positioning and clamping workpieces during assembly, more particularly a welding fixture system for weld- assembly, comprising a hole system 2 in which the holes are situated in exact positions with predetermined spacing and in which holes positioning members such as fixture parts 9,11 can be fitted in an optional location to enable assembly and clamping. According to the invention, the fixture system can be built up of standard components having hole systems 2 and comprising primary beams 1 which can be coupled together in predetermined exact positions, according to a system of co-ordinates having X, Y and Z axes, in the longitudinal direction, transverse direction and vertical direction by means of jointing units 5 and coupling units 7 and allows fixture parts 9,11 and bridging plates 14 to be fitted to the primary beams 1, in predetermined exact positions in the hole systems 2 of the primary beams 1 and/or fixture parts 9,11, by clamping by means of clamping members 16, the fixture parts 9,11 constituting an assembly location for clamping members for workpieces. <IMAGE>
