Abstract
The object of the invention is now to create a reversing switch which has a polarity resistance which need be designed only for a brief and low load and is thus relatively small, and in the case of which no switching sparks occur between the contacts during switching. The two moving switching contacts (6) switch simultaneously between two stationary contacts (4, 5), a polarity contact (3) being arranged between them, in the same plane and on the same circular path. The polarity contact (3) is connected via the polarity resistor (2) to one stationary contact (5), and the control winding (1) is connected to both stationary contacts (4, 5). The centre of rotation of a moving auxiliary contact (8) is located on the support (20), most favourably on the angle centre and on a circular path between the contacts (4, 5), and is constructed as a sliding contact. In addition, a restraining magnet (9, 10) is provided, whose armature is insulated. When no current is passing through the restraining magnet coil, the armature (10) restrains the moving auxiliary contact (8). <IMAGE>
