Abstract

Tilting bolts with a threaded shank 11, and a transverse piece 12 pivotally mounted at one end of it, are mounted in an opening in a base which has an inaccessible cavity situated in the rear. This is carried out by a mounting device 14 comprising a bar 15 with a diameter smaller than that of the tilting-bolt shank 11, and which has a threaded part 19 at one end and a handle 18 at its other end. A nut 16 fitting the tilting-bolt shank thread, also preferably a washer 17, are first theaded on the mounting- device bar 15, after which its threaded part 19 is screwed into a threaded opening in the bolt-shank end so that shank 11 and bar 15 extend in line with each other. The tilting bolt 10 is then inserted into the bore and the cavity, and the transverse piece 12 is tilted by movement of the mounting device 14, after which the bolt 10 is drawn outwards until the transverse piece lies against the side of the base opposite the cavity. The nut 16 is then screwed onto the bolt shank 11 and tightened against the base, whereupon the mounting device 14 is unscrewed from the bolt 10 to be used with another tilting bolt 10. <IMAGE>
