Abstract

A device for fitting a bolt 15 to a tool 2 for driving the bolt into an object, which bolt is threaded at least at its one end, has a shaft 1 which is arranged to be fitted to the tool and a holder 3,9, connected to the shaft, for securing the said one end of the bolt 15. The holder 3,9 is constituted by a first part 3 connected to the shaft 1 and a second part 9 which is displaceable along the said first part. The first part 3 has a recess 4, which is constituted by a section of an intended bore which is coaxial with the shaft and has an internal thread corresponding to the thread at the said one end of the bolt 15. The second part 9 is displaceable between a rear position in which the recess 4 is exposed and a front position in which the second part projects over the recess 4, the second part having a contact surface 10 which is arranged so as, in the front position of the second part, to hold the said one end of the bolt inserted in the recess 4 in threaded engagement with the recess. The first part 3 is fixedly connected at its rear end to a connecting section 5 having a continuous, threaded hole 6, which is coaxial with the said intended bore. The shaft 1 extends through this hole 6 a little way into the recess 4 and has a threaded section in threaded engagement with the thread of the hole 6, the shaft 1 being arranged such that it can be rotated to a limited degree in the hole 6 for limited displacement to and fro therein. <IMAGE>
