Abstract
The invention relates to the pressure-forming of metals using an electromagnetic pulse field and a liquid pressure-transmitting medium and can be used in the aerospace and rocket industry and in other machine-construction sectors for the forming of small-diameter tubular parts (0 4 to 50 mm). The apparatus contains a chamber (1) in which a multi-turn inductor (2), a bottom plate (3) composed of a material which is a good electrical conductor, a top plate (4) composed of a material of high mechanical strength, a pressure-forming piston (5) and a blocking element (12) with high-pressure passages (15) arranged concentrically therein, on which the tubular part to be worked, bounded by the parts of the die (18), is arranged, are accommodated coaxially and in series in the direction of the working space (16). A main conduit (9) is used for feeding liquid to the working space (16). <IMAGE>
