New tricyclic ortho-condensed nitrogenous compounds with the following formula:<IMAGE>where independent selections are made for R and R1 from among hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine and (C1-C4) alkoxy; A can be -CH2-, -CH2-CH2-, -CH=CH- or -(CH2)3-; X denotes a nitrogen atom or the group CH and salts thereof of pharmaceutically acceptable acids.The compounds possess an excellent anti-reproductive applicability.
