Abstract
1485887 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems GENERAL SIGNAL CORP 24 Sept 1975 [25 Sept 1974] 39146/75 Heading G3P An hydraulic system for selectively controlling operation of a plurality of hydraulic motors 10, 11 including a variable delivery pump 12 having a stroke control cylinder 13 and supplying fluid to the motors through respective control valves 14, 15 having variable restricting orifices 16 comprises pressure responsive flow dividing valve means 17 for delivering surplus flow from the valve 14 to the valve 15 and pressure and flow compensating valve means 18 responsive to a differential pressure across a variable orifice in the valve 15 for controlling the pressure in the cylinder 13 and hence the delivery of the pump 12. When the system is at rest, the valve 18 regulates the pump output to compensate for leakage losses. A further valve 19 connects the pump output direct to cylinder 13 to limit maximum pressure while conventional pressure relief valves are incorporated in each of the units 21, 22. The valves 14, 15 are in the form of reciprocable spools and the orifices 16 are provided by notches in the edges of the spool lands.
