Abstract

1450874 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems GENERAL SIGNAL CORP 19 Aug 1974 [30 Aug 1973] 36435/74 Heading G3P In a hydraulic system in which a variable displacement pump 1 supplies units A and B in series, a restrictor 29 and a control valve 33 adjust the output of the pump in accordance with the requirements of the units. Each unit includes a shuttle valve 19, a pressure-compensating valve 17 and a manually-operable control valve 15, and the unit A may control the boom while the unit B controls the bucket of an excavator. A spring 37 biases the control valve to provide a minimum flow rate of one or two gallons per minute.
