1497225 Halophenoxy hydroxyalkylaminoalkanols DOW CHEMICAL CO 17 April 1975 [18 April 1974] 15896/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises compounds of the Formula I wherein R 1 is a group of Formula IIa R 2 is a group as defined for R 1 or is C c H 2c OH or C d H 2d+1 ; a, b and c are independently 2, 3 or 4; d is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; n is 2, 3, 4 or 5; m is 0 or 1 and each X is independently Br or Cl which may be prepared by reacting a phenylglycidyl ether of Formula III with an amine of Formula IV wherein R is H, C a H 2c OH or C d H 2 d +1 and a, b, c, d, n and m and X are as defined above. The compounds of Formula I are monomers for the preparation of polyurethane foams by reaction with an aryl polyisocyanate.
