The resilient member 12 consisting of a series of disc springs abuts against the outer wider end surface of the cylinder 5 and presses the cylinder 5 in the axial direction against the cone 4; Since this is prevented from moving axially, it will instead be displaced against the piston rod 2 and lock it with a frictional effect. The outer abutment surface abuts the ring piston 14 while the intermediate third abutment surface abuts the inner end surface of the cylinder 5. The contact surfaces are rounded to reduce friction and wear of the components.
