Abstract

1,198,835. Wet screening. BIURO PROJEKTOW ZAKLADOW PRZEROBKI MECHANICZNEJ WEGLA SEPARATOR. 21 Sept., 1967 [21 Sept., 1966; 24 Jan., 1967], No. 43.104/ 67. Heading B2H. Apparatus for classifying wet fine grained solids comprises a frusto conical bar sieve 1 with bars disposed parallel to the generator in the wider upper part of the sieve and with bars disposed perpendicular to the generator in the narrower lower part of the sieve and a circular runner 3 with a tangential inlet 5 for liquid arranged above the sieve. A frusto conical sieve is arranged above the runner 3 and above this sieve is mounted a runner 4 with an inlet 6 for wash liquid. Classified liquid flows out through outlets 16, 18, partitions 15 separating the outlets. A motor 20 is provided to vibrate the lower sieve and the vibration imay be axial or helical. By removing the outlet 18 and some of the partitions 15 the sieves can be used to classify simultaneously and independant from each other.
