Abstract

A filter plate (1) that is a component of a pressurised air filter for the dewatering and drying of suspensions, comprising a frame (R) arranged extending along the periphery of a base plate (3) in such a manner that a series of filter plates (1 - n) can be arranged after each other in a sealing manner, that the filter plates limit in pairs an inner space (U) into which suspension is filled and fluid that has been absorbed by the suspension is expelled during the said dewatering and drying. Each filter plate (1) comprises openings (9 - 14) symmetrically located on the two sides of the space (U), lines (15, 16, 17) by which the openings (9 - 14) are placed in connection with the space (U), which openings (9 - 14) in the series of filter plates form channels (T1-4, W1-2) that extend in the longitudinal direction of the pressurised air filter, whereby one filter plate (1, 3, n) in a pair of filter plates is turned one half of a circle relative to the other filter plate (2, 4, n) in the pair in order to create alternately directed flow communication between the channels (T1-4, W1-2) and the space (U).
