Abstract
FIELD: physical methods of analysis used in hydrooptics, hydrobiology, biotechnology and intended for determining the size of particles in suspension. SUBSTANCE: integral indicatrix of light diffusion F(Q) of suspension being analyzed is measured, and according to it, angle Q is determined at which the fraction of luminous flux diffused in the cone with opening Q equals 0.5. Suspension particle diameter d is determined from formula d = 0.57λ/nθ,, where λ - light wavelength, n - index of refraction of medium, in which particles are suspended. EFFECT: reduced labour content and expanded range of analyzed objects.
