SUBSTANCE: composition for balsam (45%) has the following components, kg/1000 dal ready product: anise fruits 0.3-0.7; star anise fruits 0.3-0.7; birch buds 0.1-0.5; clove (unopened flower buds) 0.08-0.3; Saint-John's-wort flowers and leaves 4.8-5.2; tormentil rhizome 2.8-3.2; cinnamon bark 0.4-0.8; linden flowers 0.3-0.7; juniper berry 1.8-2.2; peppermint leaves 1.8-2.2; common balm flowering stem tips 1.8-2.2; black pepper fruits 0.8-1.2; common wormwood leaves and stem tips 0.3-0.7; caraway fruits 0.3-0.7; milfoil flowering stem tips 0.8-1.2; thyme herb 1.8-2.2; dill fruits 0.3-0.7; apple 1085-1089; rowan melanocarpous 211-215; mountain ash dried fruits 106-110; vanillin 0.09-0.4; clove essential oil 0.008-0.03; orange oil 0.01-0.05; sugar 846-850; color 698-702, and an aqueous-spirituous liquid - the rest. A known composition of ingredients for balm containing calamus, oregano, birch buds, sweet clover, angelica, St. John's wort, calendula, oak bark and buckthorn, coriander, lime blossom, mint, coltsfoot, motherwort, wormwood, pine buds, cornflower flowers, tansy, sushnitsa, synovnik, tatarnik, yarrow, alder cones, cinnamon, apples, strawberries, mountain ash, rose hips, honey, orange oil, vanillin, propolis, color, citric acid and water-alcohol liquid [1]
A disadvantage of the known composition is that the ingredients used grow in certain regions, which complicates the production of balsams.

Brown Bear balm is prepared as follows.

 Infusions of the first and second plums are prepared from plant material by first pouring it with aqueous-alcoholic liquid with a strength of 60% in a ratio of 1: 20, infusion for 10 days, followed by pouring out an infusion, then pouring it with an aqueous-alcoholic liquid with a strength of 45% in a ratio of 1:15 and infusion within 10 days with the subsequent discharge of the infusion and the combination of the infusion of the first and second plums.

 Using a well-known technology, 65.8% sugar syrup is prepared from granulated sugar, apple juice is made from alcohol, rowan juice from dried mountain ash and fresh chokeberry are extracted from mountain ash. Vanillin, orange and clove oil are pre-diluted with rectified ethyl alcohol of higher purity in a ratio of 1: 10. Then a blend is prepared, its volume is adjusted to 1000 dal with an aqueous-alcoholic liquid and filtered and bottled with a strength of 45%.
