Inventia se refera la un procedeu de obtinere a unui antibiotic pe cale microbiologica ce consta în faptul ca microorganismul Streptomyces granuloruber NRRL 12389 se cultiva pe un mediu de cultura ce contine surse asimilabile de carbon alese dintre glucoza amidon, surse de azot alese dintre peptona, cazeina faina din seminte de bumbac saruri anorganice nutritive în conditii de fermentare aeroba submersibila la temperatura de 25....43 degree C de preferinta 30 degree C la pH cuprins între 6,5 si 7,5 timp de 2....4 zile dupa care antibioticul se izoleaza dupa metode în sine cunoscute.
