Conform inventiei, prepararea peptatinului se face supunand cultivarii tulpina de Streptomyces argenteolus var.toyonakensis ATCC nr. 21468 într.un mediu nutritiv continînd surse asimilabile de carbon si azot incubarea avînd loc timp de 4....7 zile la temperaturi de 25....35 degree C, în conditii aerobe recuperarea din mediul de cultura a inhibitorului la atingerea pH-ului de 7,7 prin metode cunoscute mediul de cultivare a tulpinei de Streptomyces continînd pe lîngî surse asimilabile de carbon si azot cunoscute 0,2% NaCl 0,05% MgSO4.7H2O, 0,08% K2HPO4 si 0,32 CaCO3.
