Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en metode for fremstilling av HC1 med energiutvinning, hvor hydrogen og klor føres inn i en vannavkjølt synteseovn (2) med en brenner- seksjon (1) og den produserte HCl-gassen absorberes i vann. Kjølevannet for synteseovnen brukes til å produsere damp. Energien utvinnes som damp ved et trykk på over 2,8 MPa. Det foretrekkes at HCl-gassen nedkjøles videre i en gasskjøler (4) før gassen absorberes i vann. Fortrinnsvis brukes en gasskjøler av konvektiv type hvor HCl-gassen strømmer gjennom rørsiden av gasskjøleren. Det foretrekkes også at kjølevannet både for gasskjøleren og brennerseksjonen integreres i dampgeneratorsystemet. Et foretrukket konstruksjonsmateriale er en legering med et Ni-innhold på over 30 %.
