Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av alkylhalosilaner ved reaksjonen mellom elementært silisium og et alkylhalid ved forhøyet temperatur i nærvær av en kobberbasert katalysator og eventuelle promoterer. Aluminium i form av metallisk aluminium eller en aluminiumlcgcring eller en aluminiuminncholdcnde silisiumlcgering eller en aluminiuminncholdcndc forbindelse eller blandinger av disse, tilsettes til reaktoren i en mengde mellom 0,01 og l vekt % beregnet som aluminium basen på vekten av silisium som tilsettes til reaktoren.
