Abstract
Nytt, monoklonalt antistoff som bindes sterkt til et proteinantigen forbundet med humantumorer, inkludert carcinomer fra tykktarm og lunge. Anti- stoffet bindes til normale humanceller i en mye mindre grad enn til tumor- celler. Antistoffet finner anvendelse både i diagnostiske fremgangsmåter, slik som påvisning av maligne celler forbundet med tumorer, og i terapeut- iske fremgangsmåter for behandling av mennesker med tumorer. Nytt 66.000 dalton glycoproteinantigen som finnes på celleoverflaten til humantumorceller. Aminoendeaminosyresekvensen til dette antigenet er 15 10 15 20 X-E-L-T-I-L-H-T-N-D-V-H-S-R-L-E-Q-T-S-X (I) hvor X er en uidentifisert aminosyre.
