Abstract
Ved en fremgangsmåte til smelteborlng av tunnelboringer, dypboringer og eksplora-sjonsborlnger blir det bare smeltet ut en spalt som definerer ytterprofilen for tunnellen henholdsvis borehullet. Den av denne spalt omsluttede borekjerne blir først stående og blir så transportert med en avstand over smeltesonen. Hensiktsmes-sig blir borekjernen avskåret etter å ha passert gjennon en kjølesone og fremført kontinuerlig. Høyden for den først stasjo-nere borekjerne bestemmes slik at den ut-smeltede stenmasse kan presses inn i borekjernen, idet det for denne innpressing nødvendige trykk, uavhengig av dybden til den respektive boring holdes 1 det vesent-lige konstant.
