Abstract
Oppfinnelsen gjelder en metode og en innretning for å sammenføye materialer for å produsere tredimensjonale objekter (7) ved hjelp av selektiv oppvarming gjennom en laser (5) med en bølgelengde fra 100 til 3000 nm. Derved kan stråleflekken være fokusert eller ufokusert eller også bli anordnet plan som ved en diodelaser, der barrene kan være anordnet i stabler. Selektiviteten under nedsmeltingen blir oppnådd gjennom en absorber på bestemte delområder av et lag gjennom et pulverformet substrat (8) og med etterfølgende oppvarming av absorberen ved hjelp av laserstråling i en bølgelende mellom 100 og 3000 nm. Den oppvarmede absorberen avgir den tilstedeværende energien til det omgivende pulverformede substratet som derved blir smeltet ned og som derved blir fast forbundet med hverandre etter avkjøling. Fremgangsmåten er klart mer fleksibel, billigere og raskere enn konvensjonell lasersintring.
