Abstract

Det er utviklet en metode som gjør det mulig for operatøren å gå inn igjen i et primært brønnhull fra et lateralt brønnhull etter at det laterale brønnhuUet er blitt fiillført. Metoden omfatter generelt steg for å lokahsere en skjæreanordning slik som et fresehode nært et rør slik som et foringsrør inne i et brønnhull, og rotasjon av fresehodet mens man opprettholder en aksial posisjon av fresehodet i forhold til foringsrøret for å initiere en åpning, og rotere og aksialt føre fresehodet fram for å fullføre åpningen. I tillegg omfatter metoden en nedre hullsammenstUling som forenkler gjenirmføringen i det primære brønnhullet fra et lateralt brønnhull. Den nedre hullsammen- stUlingen omfatter generelt en drillkrage eUer en armen tung rørstruktur, og en fresemaskin. Fresemaskinen har en kropp og skjærestmkturer. Skjærestmkturene påfører lateralt trykk mot et omliggende rør for å danne en irmledende skjøt gjermom veggen av røret.
