Abstract

En forbindelsesplatesammenstilling for undersjøiske hydrauliske koblinger har tannhjulsdrevne kamfølgere på omkretsen av en, generelt sirkulær forbindelsesplate, og krumme kamspor på en korresponderende forbindelsesplate, for å presse platene sammen eller fra hverandre. Tannhjulene kan tilveiebringe betydelig mekanisk kraftforsterkning ved bevegelse av forbindelsesplatene. Større forbindelsesplater med et større antall hydrauliske koblingselementer kan følgelig føres sammen ved bruk av anordningen ifølge oppfinnelsen. Den mekaniske kraftforsterkning som tilveiebringes av forbindelsesplatemekanismen muliggjør bruk av mindre, mindre sterke fjernstyrte farkoster ("remotely operated vehicies" - ROV) for å foreta hydrauliske sammenkoblinger i den undersjøiske omgivelse.
